Kyle Farmhouse is set on a working farm, the perimeter of which borders the Wicklow Way. Guests can enjoy further walking within the farmlands, which offer fantastic views across three counties and Leinster's highest peak of Lugnaquillia.
Kyle Farmhouse is perfect for those seeking an authentic insight into rural Ireland's farming traditions. Visitors are welcome to view the many traditional farming activities and gain first hand experience of milking the cows, or visiting the sheep on the hillsides.
Kyle is a past winner of the Fáilte Ireland "Irish Welcome Award". In keeping with the "Irish Welcome" tradition, arriving guests are greeted with a reviving cup of tea or coffee and home-baked scone. Transport can be provided for those wishing to dine out in Tinahely.
With some advance notice, Wicklow Way Walkers can get collected from the trail at Iron Bridge near Aghavannagh, Tinahely or Tallons (The Dying Cow Pub) in Stranakelly.
Its day six of the Wicklow Way and our most enjoyable stay to date. Lovely place, food first class and very welcoming service. We highly recomend. - Alan & Mary Blackwell, Yorkshire. May '09.
