Glenmalure / Drumgoff (hamlet)

Glenmalure (also referred to as Drumgoff in many publications) is a dispersed farming community, centred on a road-junction and an old, but very successfully modernised, coaching inn. The hamlet extends along the Glenmalure valley floor north-west to Barravore and down-valley to Kirakee and Greenan, some 5km to the southeast.

Long distance trekkers experienced in mountain navigation will be well rewarded by the possibilities for one-day walks to the many high peaks which surround the wonderful Glenmalure valley, including Lugnaquillia -at 925m the highest mountain in Wicklow. Alternatively, for less experienced hill walkers a local guiding services are available.
